Every slowpitch lineup has one hitter the other team's outfield backs up for, and Victus built the 2026 NOX Big-Boy for exactly that guy. It is the heaviest hitting bat in the NOX lineup, carrying Victus' most aggressive end load on a compact 12.5 inch barrel with a mid-stiff handle, and it makes no apologies about who it's for. This is not a bat for the hitter who wants a little more carry. This is a bat for the hitter who already swings end-loaded bats, already has the bat speed to control them, and wants to find out how far the ball can actually go. Victus says the Ya-Ya is aggressive and the Big-Boy is maximum. That's about the size of it!

The design choices all serve the same goal: putting the most possible mass through the hitting zone and getting it into the ball. Victus shortened the barrel to 12.5 inches, a quarter inch shorter than the Ya-Ya, to concentrate the end load into a tighter section and keep the swing from feeling like a boat oar. It swapped the high flex handle used on the rest of the NOX line for a mid-stiff profile, so less of the hitter's energy is lost to handle bend at contact and more of it goes forward, while the two-piece composite construction still keeps enough give in the connection to take the worst of the sting off a mishit. The result is a bat that swings heavy on purpose and rewards the hitter who stays through the ball with a kind of exit velocity that turns warning track fly balls into things the left fielder doesn't bother chasing. It comes in half-ounce weights, 25.5, 26.5, and 27.5, certified for USSSA, NSA, and ISA play and backed by Victus' one year warranty.

We'll be honest with you: the Big-Boy is the NOX we talk the most people out of. It's a fantastic bat for the right hitter and a frustrating one for everybody else, and we'd rather sell you the Ya-Ya you'll hit .650 with than the Big-Boy you'll fight all season. That kind of honest advice is what LongballBats.com has been built on since 2016. We are the Bat Performance Experts, our staff carries more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience, and we carry every configuration of the NOX. Tell us what you swing now, how you hit, and whether you already play with an end load, and we'll tell you straight whether the Big-Boy is your bat. If it is, you're going to love it!

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!

QUESTION: Why does the Big-Boy have a shorter barrel than the Ya-Ya?
ANSWER: Because barrel length and end load work together. Every inch of barrel adds surface area, but it also spreads the mass out, and on a bat with a maximum end load, that spread makes the swing feel longer and slower than it needs to. Victus trimmed the Big-Boy to 12.5 inches, a quarter inch shorter than the Ya-Ya models and three quarters of an inch shorter than the No-No, so the mass stays concentrated where the endload puts it. The trade-off is a slightly smaller hitting surface, which is why the Big-Boy is built for hitters who consistently find the barrel. If you square the ball up, the shorter barrel costs you nothing and the extra mass gives you everything.

QUESTION: What does the mid-stiff handle mean for how it feels?
ANSWER: The other three NOX bats use a high flex handle that loads up and whips through the zone. The Big-Boy uses a mid-stiff handle instead, which bends less at contact so more of the swing's energy transfers directly into the ball. It sits between the fully rigid feel of a one-piece and the whippy feel of the Ya-Ya two-piece, and because the Big-Boy is still a two-piece design, the connection still dampens some vibration on off-center contact. In the hands, it feels connected and powerful rather than soft, which is what a hitter swinging a maximum end load wants: no energy wasted, and enough feedback to know exactly what happened.

QUESTION: How do I know if I'm ready for the Big-Boy?
ANSWER: Ask yourself three questions. Do you already swing an end-loaded bat effectively? Do you generate strong bat speed without muscling the bat? And do you consistently make solid barrel contact rather than hunting for it? If all three are yes, the Big-Boy is your next step and you will notice the extra distance immediately. If any of them is no, start with the NOX Ya-Ya two-piece, which carries a lighter end load and a longer barrel, and move up when your swing catches up. On weight, the Big-Boy comes in half-ounce sizes, so if you swing a 26 in a lighter bat, the 25.5 Big-Boy is usually the right call. Go lighter than you think!
