About LongballBats.com

Who is LongballBats.com?
LongballBats.com, LLC is a family-owned and operated baseball and softball company based in King, North Carolina. We started back in 2016 in a garage, rolling bats for ourselves and a few friends. Today we work out of a commercial facility and have performed our ProMAX Heat Roll on tens of thousands of bats from every single state in the country. Bat performance is still our specialty and our passion, and we've grown to also offer our GameREADY Glove Break-In Service and a full selection of bats, gloves, and gear. We carry an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Where are you located? Can I drop off in person?
We're at 124 Five Forks Dr, Suite B178, King, NC 27021. Local customers are absolutely welcome to drop off bats or gloves in person. Just check our local drop-off page or give us a call before you head over for instructions.

How do I get in touch?
Call us at 336-618-7487 -- that's the fastest way to get a real answer. You can also reach us through our Contact Us page, or find us on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter). Our staff has over 100 combined years of experience in baseball and softball, so don't be shy about calling.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Google Pay. Everything is processed securely at checkout. We also have a few financing options available at checkout, as well!

ProMAX Heated Bat Rolling Service

What is bat rolling, and what does your ProMAX Heat Roll actually do?
When you break a bat in by hitting with it the normal way, balls hit different spots on the barrel far more often than others. That creates "dead spots" -- areas that haven't been impacted as much -- which causes inconsistent performance even on solid contact.

Our ProMAX Heat Roll with Progressive Pressure breaks in the entire barrel completely and evenly, eliminating dead spots before they ever form. The results players see:

  • 20 to 40 feet of added distance on solid hits (long flyouts are now no-doubt homeruns)
  • Much more consistent performance across the whole barrel (no more wondering why some solid hits come off the bat harder than others)
  • Better durability (composite bats are less likely to crack, alloy bats are less likely to dent)

While a lot of competitors use motorized setups where they can just flip a switch and walk away, we perform our ProMAX Heat Rolling the HARD way - 100% by hand - on every single bat. It takes longer, but we can see, hear, and feel how the bat is responding throughout the whole process -- and the results show it.

How much does bat rolling cost?
Our ProMAX Heated Bat Rolling Service is $89.95 per bat right now (regularly $99.95), and free return shipping to the Continental USA is included. If you send more than one bat at a time, bulk discounts kick in automatically:

  • 2 bats: 5% off
  • 3 to 8 bats: 10% off
  • 9 or more bats: 15% off

Sending multiple bats in one shipment also saves you money on the shipping you pay to get them to us. You can order the service here.

How do I send my bat in to be rolled?
It's a pretty easy process:

  1. Step 1) Place your order on our website, one service per bat. Adjust your cart quantity to see the bulk discounts.
  2. Step 2) Package your bat. Your local post office or UPS Store will have boxes that fit. Include your order confirmation printout or a handwritten note with your order number.
  3. Step 3) Ship it to us. You cover the cost of shipping to us, and we send it back to you for free (Continental USA).

Ship to: LongballBats.com, LLC, 124 Five Forks Dr, Suite B178, King, NC 27021-1059. Please make sure both the company name and the suite number are on the label.

How long does bat rolling take?
We have a 24-hour turnaround time, meaning we ship your bats back to you the very next business day after we receive them. You'll get an automatic email with tracking info as soon as they ship out.

If you buy a new bat from us with rolling included, plan on 2 to 4 business days total. Add our Front of the Line Upgrade and we'll prioritize it -- typically 1 to 2 business days.

Do you roll composite bats and alloy bats? New and used?
Yes on all counts. Our ProMAX Heat Roll works great on composite and alloy bats alike, and on both new and used bats. Baseball bats, fastpitch softball bats, slowpitch softball bats -- we roll them all.

Will rolling change how my bat looks?
Not at all. Our heating process is non-marking and everything is done at the most professional level. Your bat will come back looking exactly the same as when you sent it (unless you send it to us dirty; we clean it before we work on it.) The only thing that changes is how it performs.

Can I see my bat being rolled?
Yes! When your bat comes back, we include instructions for finding video clips of your specific bat during our process. We've also posted over 50,000 bat rolling videos on our YouTube channel if you want to see what the process looks like before you send anything in.

Is bat rolling legal in my league?
It depends on your league. Many rule books use broad language about "altering" a bat -- since we don't add or remove any material, we don't consider our process to be altering. That said, some rule books do specifically prohibit bat rolling by name.

It's your responsibility to check your league's specific rules before using a heat-rolled bat in official play. We never suggest or condone using a rolled bat in a game where it is against the rules. If you're not sure, call your league office first.

What if I'm not happy with the results?
We stand behind our work. If you're not 100% satisfied for any reason, send the bat back and we'll inspect it and go over it again (if deemed beneficial) at no additional charge. You just pay to ship it back to us.

GameREADY Glove Break-In Service

What is your glove break-in service and how does it work?
Our GameREADY Baseball or Softball Fielding Glove Break-In Service gets your glove game-ready without hours of work on your end. Our main tool is the DR3K -- a state-of-the-art pneumatically powered break-in machine that applies up to 1,005 lbf of pressure, combined with hands-on work from our experienced leather staff.

When your glove arrives, we wipe it down, inspect it, and give it a full "Game Prepped" break-in. All fielding gloves are broken in using the double-hinge method (two fingers in the pinky slot), except for catcher's mitts, which have their own specific technique.

What we do NOT use: steam, oven heat, oil, or cream. All of those are shortcuts that can damage leather over time. Our process is pure expertise and elbow grease.

How much does glove break-in cost?
Our GameREADY Glove Break-In Service is $89.95 right now (regularly $99.95), and free return shipping is included for the Continental USA. Catcher's mitts are an extra $10.00 due to the additional work involved. If you're in a hurry, you can add the Front of the Line Upgrade for $50.00 to jump ahead of the queue. Bulk discounts apply for multiple gloves, same as our bat rolling service. Order the service here.

How long does glove break-in take?
Our typical turnaround is 2 to 3 business days from when we receive your glove, and sometimes we can get it done faster. If you have a hard deadline, the Front of the Line Upgrade puts you at the top of the queue. When in doubt, just call us and we'll give you a straight answer on timing.

Do you break in catcher's mitts and first base mitts too?
Yes, we work on all glove types, including infield gloves, outfield gloves, pitcher gloves, first base mitts, and catcher's mitts. Just note the extra $10.00 fee for catcher's mitts when ordering.

Can I have a glove shipped directly to you from another vendor?
Absolutely. If you're ordering a glove from another retailer, you can have them ship it straight to our facility. Just make sure your LongballBats.com order number is included in the shipping address or on a note inside the package so we can match it up when it arrives.

What if I'm not satisfied with the glove break-in?
Same guarantee as our bat rolling service. If you're not happy with the results, send it back and we'll inspect it and go over it again at no additional charge. You pay to ship it back to us and that's it.

Check out our HUGE Selection of New Bats and our Rare Finds section for hard-to-find models.

What are "Rare Finds"?
Our Rare Finds section is where we list discontinued, limited-edition, and out-of-production bats that are no longer available through most retailers. If you've been hunting for a specific bat that's been off the market for a while, check there -- or give us a call and we'll see if we can help.

Can you help me pick the right bat?
That's one of our favorite things to do. Call us at 336-618-7487 and we'll talk through your age, league, position, swing style, and budget to point you toward the right options. No pressure to buy -- we just love talking about this stuff and want you to end up with the right bat.

Do you sell gloves and other gear?
Yes! Beyond bats and our bat rolling and glove break-in services, we carry fielding gloves (infield, outfield, pitcher, catcher's mitts, and first base mitts), balls, bat warmers, bat protection products, catcher's gear, pitching machines, radar guns, sunglasses, screens and nets, and more. Browse all gear here.

Do you sell gift certificates?
We do! Gift certificates are a great option if you want to let a player pick out their own bat, glove or service. Purchase a gift certificate here.

Shipping

How fast do you ship?
Pretty fast. Here's a general breakdown:

  • New bats or gloves without break-in: ships within 1 to 2 business days
  • New bats or gloves with break-in service: ships within 2 to 4 business days
  • New bats or gloves with break-in and Front of the Line Upgrade: typically 1 to 2 business days
  • Bats sent in for rolling: shipped back the next business day after we receive them
  • Gloves sent in for break-in: shipped back within 2 to 3 business days of receipt

Our shipping cutoff is 1:00 PM EST. Weekends and federal holidays don't count as business days. We always put quality first and won't rush a job just to hit a faster ship date.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping is available on orders going to the Continental USA. We use USPS, UPS, or FedEx -- whichever is most cost-effective for your address. If you have a carrier preference, you can mention it in your order notes and we'll try to accommodate it, but we can't guarantee it in every case. Expedited and signature-required options are available at checkout for an additional fee.

Free return shipping on bat rolling and glove break-in service orders is also included for the Continental USA.

Do you ship outside the Continental USA?
Free shipping applies to the Continental USA only. Paid shipping options for other locations are available at checkout. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about shipping to your area.

Should I add a signature requirement to my delivery?
We strongly recommend it. Our packages are shaped like bats and have our company name on the return address -- which unfortunately makes them a favorite target for package thieves. You can add a signature requirement during checkout. If you choose not to, you take on responsibility for the package once the carrier marks it as delivered. We aren't able to cover packages that are stolen after a confirmed delivery scan.

Can I cancel my order?
Yes, but there's a 5% cancellation fee on orders canceled before shipment at the customer's request. This covers the non-refundable payment processing fee that card processors charge us regardless of whether an order goes through. Orders that have already shipped need to go through our return process instead.

If you'd rather avoid the fee, we can issue your refund as in-store credit instead -- it never expires and applies automatically to your next order. Orders older than 180 days are considered final and can't be refunded.

Returns

What is your return policy?
The full details are on our Easy Returns page. Here's the short version:

  • Items without break-in service: Returnable within 30 days of delivery for a refund or in-store credit, minus a 20% restocking fee. The item must be unused, in original condition, and still in the original packaging (bats still in the wrapper).
  • Items with break-in service: These can't be returned or exchanged since the work has been done, an industry-standard policy. Our satisfaction guarantees do allow you to send the bat or glove back for a free re-inspection and additional work if needed.
  • Custom or special-order items: Not eligible for return.

If a return is our fault, we'll send you a prepaid shipping label. Otherwise, return shipping is on you.

How do I start a return?
No RMA number needed. Just pack your item, include a note explaining what happened and what resolution you're looking for, and ship it to our return address (found on our Contact Us page). Returns are processed within 3 business days of arriving at our facility.
