TL;DR COMBAT's Spec C1 Sandstorm -10: a two-piece composite USSSA bat with a 2-3/4 in barrel, balanced swing and a vibration-dampening connection. Sand with black and hot pink. For younger travel ball hitters. USSSA only. 27-31 in. Add our ProMAX Heat Roll for maximum performance.

COMBAT is back in USSSA baseball, and the Spec C1 Sandstorm is how it’s making its entrance! The 2027 COMBAT MFG Spec C1 Sandstorm -10, model CUT7C1S10, is a two-piece composite USSSA bat with a big 2-3/4 inch barrel and a balanced swing weight. Between the handle and barrel sits a connection built to dampen vibration. As a -10, it’s the lightest Spec C1, made for younger travel ball hitters who need bat speed and a forgiving feel. It’s also hard to miss! The Sandstorm finish covers the whole bat in a warm sand color. COMBAT’s script logo runs in black and hot pink on one side, with bold SPEC C1 lettering on the other, and a sand-colored grip and hot pink knob finish it off. Hitters moving up in weight can step into the Spec C1 in a -6.5 drop or a -5 drop, as well.

The two-piece build is the heart of this bat. COMBAT joins a composite barrel to a composite handle with a vibration-dampening connection, so off-center hits don’t send a jolt into small hands. That matters a lot for young hitters, because a bat that stings is a bat they start to fear. The 2-3/4 inch barrel is as big as USSSA allows, giving hitters plenty of hitting surface to work with. A balanced swing weight keeps the barrel quick through the zone, which helps young players stay on time and build good habits. COMBAT finishes the handle with its Clinch Spec Grip for extra tack and cushion. The Spec C1 -10 carries the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp. It is not approved for USA Baseball (Little League) play, and it isn’t legal for high school or college, which require BBCOR. It comes in 27 to 31 inch lengths, from 17 to 21 ounces, and COMBAT backs it with a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!

QUESTION: Who is the Spec C1 -10 built for?
ANSWER: Younger travel ball hitters, most often in the 8 to 11 year old range, who play USSSA and want a big barrel without a heavy swing. A -10 drop means the bat weighs ten ounces less than its length, so a 29 inch bat weighs 19 ounces. That light weight and the balanced swing help young hitters keep their bat speed up and stay on time. It’s a great fit for players moving up from a -11 drop or -12 drop, and for any young hitter who’d benefit from the forgiving feel of a two-piece composite. Stronger kids who are outgrowing a -10 can step up to the Spec C1 -6.5!

QUESTION: Why does a two-piece bat matter for a young hitter?
ANSWER: In a word, comfort. On a two-piece bat, the barrel and handle are separate pieces joined by a connection, and COMBAT built the Spec C1’s connection to dampen vibration. When a young hitter catches one off the end or in on the hands, that connection soaks up much of the sting before it reaches their hands. That might sound minor, but a bat that stings can make a kid tentative at the plate. A more comfortable bat lets them swing freely and with confidence. Two-piece bats also tend to have a little more flex, which a lot of young hitters like to feel through the zone.

QUESTION: What is COMBAT’s Sandstorm colorway?
ANSWER: Sandstorm is one of COMBAT’s signature looks. It first showed up on COMBAT’s Sandstorm BBCOR baseball and slowpitch softball bats, and now it comes to USSSA baseball on the Spec C1. This version covers the whole bat in a warm sand color, with COMBAT’s script logo in black and hot pink, bold SPEC C1 lettering, a sand grip, and a hot pink knob. COMBAT releases its bats in limited drops, so if your player has their heart set on Sandstorm, don’t wait too long.

QUESTION: Can my player use the Spec C1 in Little League?
ANSWER: No. The Spec C1 carries the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp, which is made for USSSA tournaments and travel ball. Little League and other leagues that follow USA Baseball rules require a bat with the USA Baseball stamp, and high school and college require BBCOR. Before you buy, check which stamp your player’s league or tournament requires. If your player plays both travel ball and Little League, they’ll need a different bat for each. Not too sure? Call us; we’re happy to help you sort it out!
