The 2027 Easton Dub Darkside -5 USSSA Baseball Bat features Easton’s two-piece composite construction with a balanced swing weight and 2 3/4" barrel.
Easton’s 2X Double Barrel Construction combines a lower-compression outer barrel with a lightweight inner barrel. The outer barrel is designed to provide flex across the hitting surface, while the inner barrel helps control performance within the USSSA standard.
The barrel is joined to the handle through Easton’s ConneXion Max system, which uses an elastomer connector to help reduce vibration and provide a smooth two-piece feel. The Opti-Flex Handle is tuned specifically for the -5 configuration to provide a controlled combination of flex and responsiveness.
A Gen2 In2uitiv Feel Soft Knob provides an asymmetric contour for added comfort at the bottom hand, while the 1.8mm Flow+Tack Grip provides additional traction and cushioning.
The Darkside edition is finished with Easton’s DUBLVZN Graphic Technology, featuring an ultra-chrome top layer that gradually wears away with use to reveal hidden red graphics underneath.
The -5 construction adds additional overall mass compared to the -8 and -10 models while maintaining a balanced swing profile rather than an exaggerated end-loaded feel.
