QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Professionally Broken In?
ANSWER: Brand new baseball and softball bats need to be broken in before they perform to their full potential. Our ProMAX Break-In Service adds 20-40ft of extra distance to your solid hits, improves the durability and longevity of the bat and increases the consistency of your results on solid hits, as well. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. QUESTION: Is the 2027 Easton Hype Fire -10 USSSA approved, and can my kid use it in Little League?
ANSWER: It carries the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp, so it is legal for USSSA-sanctioned travel ball and tournament play. It is not certified for USA Baseball, which means it is not legal in Little League, Cal Ripken, or other leagues that require the USA Bat stamp, and it is not BBCOR for high school. QUESTION: Should my player swing the -10, the -8, or the -5?
ANSWER: The -10 is the lightest drop in the USSSA Hype Fire lineup and the right starting point for most travel ball hitters, roughly ages 8 through 12, who need bat speed more than mass. At the same length, a -8 adds two ounces and a -5 adds five, so those are for bigger, stronger hitters who have outgrown the -10 or are getting ready for the jump to BBCOR. Easton rates the -10 as a light, balanced swing, so if your hitter is between sizes, the shorter length is usually the better call. Bat speed wins!
