The 2026 Louisville Slugger Select PWR Tigershark BBCOR bat (WL2700201) is a special limited edition of the Select PWR, the two-piece hybrid that has become the go-to power bat for strong high school and college hitters who want a heavier swing and a huge alloy barrel. The Tigershark wears a fighter plane nose art livery across the barrel, complete with the shark mouth and teeth that made the design famous - and once this run sells through, it will not be produced again! Underneath the paint it is the same proven Select PWR platform: an oversized alloy barrel bolted to a stiff composite handle and tuned with a power swing weight built for driving the ball out of the yard.
The barrel is Louisville Slugger's EXD Extended Premium Alloy, an elongated alloy barrel profile that pushes the sweet spot longer and farther out toward the end cap than a standard-length alloy barrel. Alloy barrels give you a stiff, responsive hitting surface with a loud, solid crack at contact, and the extended profile means more of that barrel is working for you on balls that are slightly off center. That barrel connects to a stiff composite handle through the 3FX-PWR Connection System. Where most two-piece connections are tuned to soften the feel, 3FX-PWR is deliberately firmer so power hitters keep the connected, direct feedback they want at contact while still getting some vibration control on mishits. The SPD-Gen3 End Cap uses lightweight composite materials to keep the end of the barrel performing without adding dead weight.
The Select PWR is an end-loaded bat with a Power Swing Weight, so it swings heavier than a balanced BBCOR bat of the same size. That extra mass toward the barrel builds momentum through the zone and turns into carry on well-struck balls, which is exactly what strong hitters in the heart of the order are looking for. The trade-off is that it demands bat speed, so it is best suited to physically mature hitters who can control it. The handle is finished with a Pro Design Knob Taper for extra bottom-hand leverage and comfort and wrapped in the Premium LS Pro Comfort Grip for added tack and cushion.
