ANSWER: Brand new baseball and softball bats need to be broken in before they perform to their full potential. Our ProMAX Break-In Service adds 20-40ft of extra distance to your solid hits, improves the durability and longevity of the bat and increases the consistency of your results on solid hits, as well. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. QUESTION: Is the 2027 Easton Hype Fire BBCOR legal for high school and college baseball?
ANSWER: Yes. The EBB7HYP3 carries the BBCOR .50 certification stamp, which makes it legal for NFHS high school play and NCAA college play. It is not certified for USSSA travel ball or USA Baseball youth leagues, so if your player is not yet in high school, look at the -5, -8, or -10 USSSA Hype Fire models instead.
QUESTION: Is the Hype Fire BBCOR balanced or end loaded?
ANSWER: Easton lists the 2027 Hype Fire BBCOR as a light swing weight, and the majority of hitters describe it as balanced with quick barrel speed. A few reviewers with bigger swings feel a touch of mid-load behind contact, which is common with a large composite barrel. If you want a true end-loaded thump, this is not that bat. If you want a barrel you can whip through the zone and still drive the ball, this is your bat.
