QUESTION: Is the 2027 Rawlings Icon -10 legal for my league?
ANSWER: The RUT7I10 carries the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification stamp, which makes it legal for USSSA-sanctioned travel ball and tournaments, along with any league that follows the USSSA bat rule. It is not approved for USA Baseball, so it cannot be used in Little League, Cal Ripken, or most rec leagues. If your player needs a USA stamp, Rawlings makes the Icon in USA Baseball versions with a 2-5/8 inch barrel (linked above.) Always confirm your league's bat rules before you buy.
QUESTION: Is the Rawlings Icon -10 balanced or end loaded?
ANSWER: Rawlings calls it a balanced swing weight with a slight end load, and that matches what hitters report. The -10 swings light and quick, which is what a developing hitter needs, but the big In/Tense barrel carries enough presence that you feel it out front at contact. It is not a true end-loaded bat like the Icon -5. Think of it as balanced first, with a little extra mass where it does the most good.
