Easton went wall to wall with this release. The 2027 Hype Fire family covers five certifications:

1. 2027 Hype Fire BBCOR (-3), model EBB7HYP3, MSRP $449.99. Two-piece composite, 30 to 34 inch lengths, built for high school and college play.

What Is New in the 2027 Hype Fire?

The core of the BBCOR, USSSA, and Junior Big Barrel models is Easton's TCT Barrel, a high-performing composite designed to widen the sweet spot and keep barrel response consistent across the entire hitting surface. Mishits off the end or in on the hands still jump, which is exactly what you want in a composite bat at this price point.

The USA models get their own weapon: 3D Ropecoil Composite. This is Easton's patented rope-style composite construction, wrapped 360 degrees around the center of the barrel right at the sweet spot. The goal is to concentrate performance where hitters make the most contact, and in a USA bat category that has historically felt muted compared to USSSA, that matters a lot.

The two-piece models in the line share Easton's ConneXion Max, an elastomer connection piece that interlocks the handle and barrel to cut vibration and keep the bat feeling smooth through contact. High school and college hitters: Hype Fire BBCOR -3. BBCOR .50 is the required stamp for NFHS high school and NCAA college play, and -3 is the only drop allowed. The Hype Fire BBCOR carries a mid-loaded swing weight, so it fits stronger varsity hitters who can move real mass through the zone. If you are a contact-first hitter moving up from USSSA, size down an inch until your bat speed catches up.

Travel ball hitters: Hype Fire USSSA. The USSSA 1.15 BPF models are where the Hype Fire legend was born. The -10 is the go-to for most 8 to 11 year olds who want maximum bat speed. The -8 fits 11 to 13 year olds who are getting stronger and want a little more mass at contact. The -5 is the transition bat for 12 to 14 year olds preparing for the jump to BBCOR.

Young travel ball players: Hype Fire JBB -10. The Junior Big Barrel is a one-piece composite with a light swing weight, made for coach-pitch players stepping up to a 2-3/4 inch barrel for the first time.
