Combat's Outdoor collection was made for the kid who spends October mornings in a duck blind and October afternoons in a batting cage, and the Big Barrels is the one that says it out loud. Mid-flight waterfowl across a yellow-to-blue gradient that looks like a cold sunrise over a marsh, a red flying duck on the knob, a pale yellow spiral grip, and "Big Barrels for Big Games" printed right across the sweet spot. The difference is the artwork, and each one was a limited run. QUESTION: Does "Big Barrels" mean this bat has a bigger barrel than other Spec A1 bats?
ANSWER: No. The Big Barrels has the same 2-5/8 inch barrel diameter as every other BBCOR bat, which is the maximum the standard allows, and the same Spec A1 barrel length and sweet spot as every other Spec A1. The name is a hunting reference, a nod to shotgun barrels and the "Big Barrels for Big Games" slogan on the sweet spot. That said, the Spec A1's SFX Barrel Technology does give it a longer usable barrel and a bigger sweet spot than other one-piece alloys, so the name is not exactly wrong either. It's just true of every Spec A1, not this one alone.
QUESTION: Is the 2026 Spec A1 any different from the 2025 Spec A1?
