Under the hood it's a full Spec A1, which is why people are still chasing it. Combat calls the Spec A1 a BBCOR legend, and the Stang carries every piece of that build. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. ANSWER: It just depends on how quickly you need it. This RARE FIND Bat is ready to ship and will generally ship same day if ordered before 1PM EST. Our free shipping method is just the cheapest method available to your address, which is usually a 2-6 day transit time but is NOT guaranteed. The upgrade options specify their transit times. UPS 2 Day Air and/or UPS Next Day Air are popular options for customers needing a bat quickly.
QUESTION: Why is this bat priced higher than retail?
ANSWER: Since limited edition and highly sought after bats are often are next to impossible to get, there are times that we're willing to pay higher than retail prices for them in the secondary market so that we're able to make them available to our customers. Many customers value performance and convenience over price, so our "RARE FIND" inventory is purchased with this in mind.
QUESTION: What's the difference between the Stang and the Racer?
ANSWER: Paint. Both are Performance collection Spec A1 bats released in 2025, both were limited editions with the same size run of 31 through 34 plus a 33.5, and both carry the same one-piece alloy build, SFX Barrel Technology, balanced swing weight, and Clinch Spec Grip. The Racer wears powder blue with an orange racing stripe. The Stang wears candy-apple red with white stripes. They'll swing and hit identically, so pick the one that looks right leaning against your bat bag. Plenty of hitters who can find both end up wanting both, and we understand completely.
QUESTION: Is the Stang balanced or end loaded?
ANSWER: Balanced. Combat lists the Stang with a balanced swing weight, the same as every Spec A1, and that's how it plays: quick through the zone with a big barrel that doesn't feel heavy out front. You may see a reseller or two describe it as end loaded, but that's a data-entry mistake, not a different bat. The Spec A1's whole reputation is built on being a one-piece alloy that swings fast and still hits with authority, and the Stang is no exception.
QUESTION: Is the Stang legal for college baseball?
ANSWER: Yes. The Stang is BBCOR .50 certified and approved for NFHS high school, NCAA, and NJCAA play. Its red colorway doesn't fall under the college bat color restriction that limits Combat's orange Rodeo "Greatest Show on Dirt" to high school only, so a college hitter can put it in the bag without a second thought.
