RARE FIND: here at Longball Bats, we take pride in having a huge selection of baseball and softball bats - including hard to find bats like this one! Sold out most everywhere else, this bat is still available here at LBB - while it lasts!
Some bats you buy because they hit. Some you buy because nobody else on the field has one. The COMBAT MFG Spec A1 Rodeo "Greatest Show on Dirt" is both, and that's exactly why it sold out! Combat built just 5,000 individually numbered units of this burnt orange and brown colorway, blending two of the loudest things in Americana, baseball and the rodeo, into one bat that looks like it belongs in a saddle bag and swings like it belongs in the four hole. When those 5,000 were gone, they were gone. Combat isn't making more. So if you missed the drop or you've been hunting for one ever since, you're in the right place: this is a Rare Find, in stock and ready to ship from LongballBats.com.
Underneath the rodeo paint is the same Spec A1 that Combat calls the number one ranked BBCOR bat in the game, and the one-piece alloy that a lot of high school hitters spent 2025 talking about. The star is SFX Barrel Technology, a set of engineering processes Combat uses to build a longer barrel with a bigger sweet spot than any other one-piece alloy, so there's more of the bat that produces hard contact and more forgiveness when you catch one toward the end. It swings balanced, which means the Spec A1 gets through the zone fast without giving up any barrel performance, and Combat tuned the stiffness so it feels like a one-piece at contact but forgives like a two-piece on a jam shot. The Clinch Spec Grip comes pre-loaded with extra tack and just enough cushion. And then there's the sound. Every barrel shot off a Spec A1 produces a thwack that turns heads two fields over, and hitters get a little addicted to it! All three Rodeo Spec A1 models are built exactly the same; the only difference is the color, and this is the one that sold out first.

And when you buy a Rare Find from us, you're getting a brand new bat, in the wrapper, with our expertise behind it - not a gamble on an auction site.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!
QUESTION: Should I order this bat with Free Shipping or Upgraded Shipping?
ANSWER: It just depends on how quickly you need it. This RARE FIND Bat is ready to ship and will generally ship same day if ordered before 1PM EST. Our free shipping method is just the cheapest method available to your address, which is usually a 2-6 day transit time but is NOT guaranteed. The upgrade options specify their transit times. UPS 2 Day Air and/or UPS Next Day Air are popular options for customers needing a bat quickly.
QUESTION: Is the Greatest Show on Dirt legal for college baseball?
ANSWER: No, and it's not because of the bat. The Spec A1 is fully BBCOR .50 certified, and it's approved for NFHS high school play. But the orange coloring on this specific colorway isn't approved for NCAA or NJCAA play under college bat color rules. If you're playing college ball, look at one of the other Rodeo Spec A1 colorways, which are built exactly the same and are approved for NCAA, NJCAA, and NFHS. If you're a high school hitter, you're good to go. As always, confirm with your league before you swing it.
QUESTION: How many Greatest Show on Dirt bats were made, and why is it a Rare Find?
ANSWER: Combat made 5,000 of them, each individually numbered, as part of the Rodeo collection alongside two other colorways. Between the limited run, the Spec A1's reputation, and the fact that this orange version was the one everyone wanted, it sold out at retail fast and hasn't been reissued. That's what makes it a Rare Find. We keep a stock of bats like this one, new in the wrapper, for hitters who missed the original drop or want a specific model that's no longer available anywhere else.
QUESTION: How does the Spec A1 swing, and who is it for?
ANSWER: It's a balanced one-piece alloy, so it swings quick and stays under control, and SFX Barrel Technology gives it a longer sweet spot than you'd expect from a one-piece. That combination makes it a great fit for a wide range of high school hitters: a contact hitter gets a bat he can whip through the zone, and a power hitter gets a barrel that's live almost end to end. Combat tuned the stiffness so mishits don't punish your hands the way an old-school one-piece alloy did. If you've been swinging a two-piece composite and want a stiffer, more direct feel without the sting, the Spec A1 is worth a look!
