Two hundred and fifty years ago a group of people signed a piece of paper that changed everything, and Marucci decided the best way to celebrate that was to build a bat you can hit a softball 300 feet with! The 2026 Marucci CAT 1776 is a limited edition USA slowpitch bat built for America's 250th birthday, with historic script pulled from the Declaration of Independence and red, white, and navy accents running the length of a full 13 inch barrel. It looks like something that belongs in a museum, and it plays like something that belongs in the middle of your lineup. When this run is gone, it is gone, and Marucci is not going to make another one until the country turns 300.

Underneath the graphics is the same technology Marucci is using across its top slowpitch line. The 13 inch barrel is built on DisRupt Dual Chamber Technology, a true dual barrel design that suspends a full length inner barrel inside a softer outer barrel and tunes the relationship between them for every weight in the run. Two barrels working together mean a big, forgiving hitting surface and a response that stays consistent whether you catch the ball dead center or an inch toward the end cap. Marucci's Modulated Stiffness Technology, or MST, adjusts the materials at key points along the bat to control exactly how it flexes, and on the CAT 1776 that profile is Mid Stiff, a middle ground that keeps the swing connected without making it harsh. The one-piece composite construction delivers a clean, traditional feel with direct energy transfer, and the loaded swing weight puts a modest amount of extra mass toward the end of the barrel, enough to add carry for a power hitter but not so much that a contact hitter cannot swing it. It comes in a 34 inch length at 24.5, 25.5, 26.5, and 27 ounces, is certified for USA/ASA and WBSC play, and carries a one year manufacturer's warranty.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!

QUESTION: Is the CAT 1776 really a limited edition?
ANSWER: Yes. Marucci built the CAT 1776 as a limited run for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and once the initial production sells through there are no plans to make more. That makes it a rare thing in slowpitch: a bat with real performance technology that also has collector value. If you want one, especially in a specific weight, don't wait for the end of the season!

QUESTION: What is DisRupt Dual Chamber Technology?
ANSWER: It is Marucci's dual barrel design. A full length inner barrel is suspended inside a softer outer barrel, and the two chambers are tuned separately for each weight in the lineup. At contact the outer barrel gives while the inner barrel supports it, which produces a big, forgiving sweet spot and a consistent response across the hitting surface. Dual barrel construction has become the standard for high end slowpitch bats because it lets a manufacturer build a barrel that performs at the certification limit across more of its length rather than in one small spot. Marucci's version pairs it with MST to control how the whole bat flexes, which is what gives the CAT 1776 its connected, traditional feel.

QUESTION: Can I use the CAT 1776 in USSSA play?
ANSWER: No. The MSPC17761LA carries the USA/ASA and WBSC certifications only, so it is legal in USA Softball leagues, in leagues that follow the USA bat standard, and in WBSC-sanctioned play. It is not certified for USSSA, and it is not a senior bat. If you play USSSA, Marucci's Cypher v2 and Rckless lines are built for that standard, and we carry them. If you play both USA and USSSA, you will need a bat with each stamp, and we can help you match weights so both feel the same in your hands.
