Easton’s tagline for this bat is "Play Wild," and it’s aimed at a specific kind of hitter: the one who sees her pitch and attacks it without a second thought. The 2027 Easton Ghost Unlimited Wild Era, model EFP6GUW10, is the first release in Easton’s Ghost Era collection, a limited edition design series that puts a new look on the Ghost Unlimited without touching the bat underneath. That means the Wild Era is the same one-piece composite Ghost Unlimited that’s become the standard for serious fastpitch hitters, with the same Double Barrel EXT, the same Sonic Comp Pro composite, and the same balanced -10 swing, dressed in a light blue and teal Wild colorway Easton describes as having an energetic, force-of-nature personality. It’s offered in -10 and -11 drops, and the -10 is the one for a strong travel ball, high school, or college hitter who wants more mass behind the ball than the -11 gives her. If you’d rather have the same bat in Easton’s standard pink and purple fade, the 2026 Easton Ghost Unlimited -10 is the sibling to look at.
Everything that makes the Ghost Unlimited the Ghost Unlimited is in the Wild Era. The patented Double Barrel EXT is the heart of it: two composite barrel walls, inner and outer, with the outer barrel flexing at contact and the inner barrel springing it back, which is where the Ghost’s pop and its unmistakable sound come from. Easton extended the barrel about an inch over a standard Ghost barrel, making it the longest in the Ghost lineup, and redesigned it for 2026 so the response stays consistent from end to end instead of fading toward the cap. The composite is Sonic Comp Pro, Easton’s most advanced and most durable Ghost composite, built to deliver the Ghost sound and hold up through a full season. Inside the barrel, the VRS1 Lightweight Internal Connection Point joins the inner and outer barrels at a tuned junction that cuts weight and absorbs mishit vibration without an external connection piece, which is how a one-piece bat ends up with a feel this forgiving. Easton also tunes handle stiffness to each length and drop, softer in shorter sizes and stiffer in longer ones, so a 30 inch -10 and a 34 inch -10 each swing the way their hitter needs. The ultra-thin 29/32 inch handle wears a Flow-Tack grip, and the Power Boost Soft Knob adds bottom-hand comfort and leverage while taking a little more vibration out. The barrel is 2-1/4 inches, and the bat is dual stamped for USA Softball and USSSA (fastpitch only), with NSA, ISA, and WBSC approvals on top, which makes it legal for NFHS high school play and keeps it on the list college programs follow. Available in 30"/20oz, 31"/21oz, 32"/22oz, 33"/23oz, and 34"/24oz, backed by Easton’s one year warranty.
A limited edition Ghost is the kind of bat that sells out in the popular sizes first, so it pays to buy it from a shop that will tell you the right size before you order instead of the size that’s left. LongballBats.com has been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016, our staff brings more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience to fastpitch fitting, and we’ve gotten our hands on tens of thousands of bats, a good share of them Ghosts, so we know how a 32 inch -10 Unlimited swings next to a 33 (and which hitter belongs in each.) We carry the full 2026 Ghost Unlimited lineup in every drop, the Ghost Era Wild in -10 and -11, the Ghost OG, and the Ghost Advanced, and we’ll stock each Ghost Era as Easton releases it, with sold-out Ghost colorways landing in our Rare Finds section. Tell us your hitter’s height, weight, age, current bat, and how she hits, and we’ll tell you straight whether the Wild Era -10 is her bat, whether the -11 would serve her better, and which length to order. Call or email us and we’ll get it right!

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Professionally Broken In?
ANSWER: Brand new baseball and softball bats need to be broken in before they perform to their full potential. Our ProMAX Break-In Service adds 20-40ft of extra distance to your solid hits, improves the durability and longevity of the bat and increases the consistency of your results on solid hits, as well. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a professionally broken in bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. QUESTION: What is the Easton Ghost Era, and is the Wild Era a different bat from the Ghost Unlimited?
ANSWER: Ghost Era is Easton’s limited edition design series for the Ghost, and the Wild Era is its first release. The idea is simple: take the Ghost Unlimited exactly as it is, the one-piece composite, the Double Barrel EXT, the Sonic Comp Pro composite, the VRS1 connection, the tuned handle, the Power Boost Soft Knob, the stamps, the sizes, and the warranty, and give it a new personality through the artwork. The Wild Era is the energetic one, with a light blue and teal design and the "Play Wild" message, built for the hitter who attacks the ball. Nothing about the performance changes, so the choice between the Wild Era and the standard 2026 Ghost Unlimited is a choice about look and availability. The Wild Era is a limited run; once a size sells through, it’s gone, and the standard colorway will outlast it. Easton has signaled more Eras to come, each with its own look on the same bat, and we’ll carry them as they arrive. If your hitter wants a Ghost that looks like hers alone, the Wild Era is that bat.
QUESTION: Should I get the Ghost Unlimited Wild Era or the Ghost OG?
ANSWER: It’s a one-piece versus two-piece decision, with the Wild look as the tiebreaker. The Ghost Unlimited Wild Era is a one-piece composite: the barrel and handle are a single piece, with the VRS1 internal connection doing the vibration work inside the barrel, which gives it a stiffer, more direct feel and the longest barrel in the Ghost lineup thanks to the Double Barrel EXT. The Easton Ghost OG is the two-piece Ghost, built to bring back the feel of the original Ghost, with a connection between barrel and handle that smooths out the swing and softens mishits. Hitters who want maximum barrel length, a direct feel, and instant feedback, and who square the ball up consistently, tend to prefer the Unlimited. Hitters who want the softest possible feel, who get stung easily, or who loved the original Ghost should look at the OG. If you want the Unlimited’s barrel and feel in a bat nobody else on the team has, the Wild Era is the only way to get it; the OG doesn’t come in a Ghost Era design.
QUESTION: Which Wild Era should I buy, the -10 or the -11?
ANSWER: Start with the -10 drop if your hitter is a strong 14U, high school, or college player with proven bat speed; start with the -11 drop if she’s younger, smaller, or still building her swing. The two Wild Eras are the same bat at different weights: a 32 inch -10 is 22 ounces and a 32 inch -11 is 21 ounces. That ounce goes into the ball as mass on the -10, and it costs a little bat speed on the way there. The -10 also runs a size longer at each end, 30 to 34 inches versus 29 to 33 for the -11, which tells you Easton built it for the bigger, stronger hitter. A good test: if she’s swinging a -11 now and she’s early on good pitching, pulling balls she used to drive up the middle, or just physically stronger than she was last season, the -10 is the natural step. If she’s late, or she loses the barrel when she’s tired, stay in the -11. When a hitter is between the two, we usually recommend the lighter bat, because bat speed is worth more than an ounce of mass for most fastpitch hitters, and the Ghost barrel doesn’t need help hitting the ball hard.
QUESTION: Is the Ghost Unlimited Wild Era legal in USA Softball, USSSA, high school, and college?
ANSWER: Yes to all four, which is the biggest practical reason to own a Ghost Unlimited. It’s dual stamped for USA Softball and USSSA fastpitch, plus NSA, ISA, and WBSC, so one bat covers a USA Softball travel tournament on Saturday and a USSSA one on Sunday without a swap. NFHS high school rules follow the USA Softball stamp, so it’s legal for high school ball, and the USA Softball stamp is also the certification college programs follow, so it’s on the list most NCAA and NJCAA teams work from. Two things to remember. The USSSA stamp on this bat is fastpitch only, so it’s not a slowpitch bat, and no amount of wishful thinking makes a 2-1/4 inch Ghost legal in a slowpitch league. And every association updates its approved bat list, so check the current list for your league or tournament before game day; the Wild Era is listed under its own model number, EFP6GUW10, not under the standard Ghost Unlimited’s. If you’re not sure what stamp your league requires, call us. Reading stamps is a big part of what we do!
