TL;DR The Ghost Unlimited Era in a -11: one-piece Ghost Unlimited in limited edition Wild paint, Double Barrel EXT, Sonic Comp Pro, VRS1 connection. Dual stamped USA and USSSA plus NSA and ISA. For young hitters building bat speed. 29-33 in. Add our ProMAX Heat Roll for maximum performance.

Easton made three Ghost Eras, and not all of them come in a -11! The 2027 Easton Ghost Unlimited Wild Era -11, model EFP6GUW11, is the lightest bat in the Ghost Era collection and the only way for a younger or smaller hitter to get a limited edition Ghost without stepping up to a drop she isn’t ready for. Underneath the paint it’s the one-piece Ghost Unlimited, same Double Barrel EXT, same Sonic Comp Pro composite, same balanced swing, in the Wild One design: light blue and mint with metallic blue graphics and Easton’s "Play Wild" attitude, built for the hitter who swings like she means it. The Dreamy One and the Radiant One start at -10 and run to 34 inches; the Wild One -11 runs from 29 inches up to 33, which puts it squarely in the hands of 10U, 12U, and younger 14U hitters who want the Ghost’s barrel and need the Ghost at a weight they can whip. For the same look an ounce heavier and a size longer, the Ghost Unlimited Wild Era -10 is the sibling, and the standard 2026 Ghost Unlimited -11 is the same bat in Easton’s regular colorway.

A -11 one-piece composite has to do something a two-piece doesn’t: feel forgiving without a joint to do the forgiving. Easton solves that two ways on the Ghost Unlimited. The first is the Double Barrel EXT, a patented barrel-in-a-barrel design where the outer composite wall flexes at contact and the inner wall drives it back, which spreads the response across the hitting surface so a ball caught off the sweet spot still jumps, and it’s extended about an inch over a standard Ghost barrel, the longest in the Ghost lineup. The composite is Sonic Comp Pro, Easton’s most advanced and most durable Ghost composite, responsible for the Ghost sound and a full season of hard contact. The second is what Easton does with the handle. The VRS1 Lightweight Internal Connection Point is a tuned junction inside the barrel between the inner and outer walls that trims weight and absorbs mishit vibration, and Easton tunes the handle stiffness itself to each length and drop, softer in the shorter sizes and stiffer in the longer ones. That matters most on a -11, because a 29 inch, 18 ounce bat and a 33 inch, 22 ounce bat are going to very different hitters, and Easton builds each one for the hitter who’ll swing it instead of using one profile across the run. The ultra-thin 29/32 inch handle wears a Flow-Tack grip, the Power Boost Soft Knob adds bottom-hand comfort and leverage while cutting a little more vibration, and the barrel is 2-1/4 inches. It’s dual stamped for USA Softball and USSSA (fastpitch only), with NSA, ISA, and WBSC approvals, legal for NFHS high school play, and the Wild One is on the list college programs follow in its 32 inch and longer sizes. Available in 29"/18oz, 30"/19oz, 31"/20oz, 32"/21oz, and 33"/22oz, backed by Easton’s one year warranty.

The hardest bat to size is the one a kid is going to grow out of, and that describes most of the hitters shopping a -11 Ghost. LongballBats.com has been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016, our staff brings more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience to youth and travel fastpitch fitting, and we’ve personally handled tens of thousands of bats, a good many of them Ghosts, so we know when a 10-year-old is a 29 and when she’s a 30, and when a 13-year-old is ready to leave the -11 behind. We carry all three Ghost Eras, the Dreamy One, the Radiant One, and the Wild One in both drops, alongside the full 2026 Ghost Unlimited lineup, the Ghost OG, and the Ghost Advanced, with sold-out Ghost colorways landing in our Rare Finds section, so when we recommend the Wild Era -11 it’s because it fits your hitter and not because it’s the only Era we have in her size. Tell us her height, weight, age, current bat, and how she hits, and we’ll tell you straight whether the Wild Era -11 is her bat, which length to order, and how long it’ll fit her. Call or email us and we’ll get her set.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Professionally Broken In?
ANSWER: Brand new baseball and softball bats need to be broken in before they perform to their full potential. Our ProMAX Break-In Service adds 20-40ft of extra distance to your solid hits, improves the durability and longevity of the bat and increases the consistency of your results on solid hits, as well. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a professionally broken in bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. QUESTION: What is the Double Barrel EXT, and why does it matter on a -11?
ANSWER: The Double Barrel EXT is Easton’s patented barrel-in-a-barrel design, and it’s the reason a Ghost sounds and hits the way it does. There are two composite barrel walls, one inside the other. At contact the outer wall flexes, the inner wall catches it and drives it back, and the energy that would be lost in a single-wall barrel goes into the ball instead. Because the two walls work together along the whole barrel, the response doesn’t fall off much as contact moves away from the sweet spot, which is the practical difference a hitter feels: mishits still carry. The EXT part is the length. Easton stretched the barrel about an inch beyond a standard Ghost barrel, making it the longest in the Ghost lineup, and redesigned it on the current Unlimited to keep performance consistent from the end cap to the taper. On a -11, that forgiveness matters more than on any other drop, because the hitter swinging it is usually still learning where the barrel is. A young hitter who catches the ball an inch late or an inch off the end still gets the Ghost’s pop, and that’s how confidence gets built!

QUESTION: What does “handle stiffness tuned per length and drop” mean, and does it matter for a younger hitter?
ANSWER: It means Easton doesn’t build every Ghost Unlimited with the same handle. On most bats, one handle profile runs across every size, so a 29 inch -11 for a 10-year-old gets the same stiffness as a 34 inch -8 for a college power hitter, and the small bat ends up stiffer than its hitter needs. Easton engineers the Wild Era’s handle stiffness for each specific length and drop, softer in the shorter sizes and stiffer in the longer ones, so the 29 and 30 inch -11s have a bit more give for a hitter with less bat speed, and the 32 and 33 inch -11s firm up for the stronger hitter who’s swinging them. Combined with the VRS1 internal connection absorbing vibration inside the barrel and the Power Boost Soft Knob doing the same at the bottom hand, this is how a one-piece composite ends up feeling forgiving in a young hitter’s hands. It’s the detail that makes the Wild Era -11 a real option for a 10U or 12U player and not just a shrunken version of a high school bat.

QUESTION: What size Ghost Era Wild -11 should my daughter swing?
ANSWER: Go by age and build, and when you’re between two sizes, take the shorter one. For an 8 to 10 year old, a 29 or 30 inch -11 is the range, and the 29"/18oz is the most popular size in that group; the Wild Era -11 is the only Ghost Era that comes in those lengths, so it’s the only Era option for her. For an 11 to 13 year old, 30 to 32 inches is the range, and the 31"/20oz is the single most popular size, which makes it the sweet spot of this bat. A stronger 12 or 13 year old who’s already driving the ball can look at a 31 or 32 inch -10 instead, in any Era design. By 14 and up, most hitters are moving to a 32 or 33 inch -10, and the Wild Era -10 is the next step. A quick check at home: stand the bat on its end next to her, and if the knob reaches somewhere around her hip, you’re in the right neighborhood. A bat that’s too long costs a young hitter more than one that’s a little short, so don’t buy the size she’ll grow into. Send us her height, weight, and age and we’ll confirm the size before you order.

QUESTION: How do I take care of a composite Ghost in cold weather, and what does the warranty cover?
ANSWER: Keep it warm and keep it away from the wrong balls. Composite bats, the Ghost included, get stiff and brittle in the cold, and that’s when barrels crack, so the standard guidance is to avoid hitting with it below about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. For a travel player with a March schedule in a cold climate, that means a second bat for early-season games, an alloy or an older composite you don’t mind swinging in the cold, with the Wild Era saved for warm weather. Our "Pizza Delivery Bag" Dual Bat Warmer Package is a great idea, as well! Never hit dimpled pitching machine balls or waterlogged softballs with it; both are harder than game balls and will damage a composite barrel. Rotate the bat a quarter turn each swing so the barrel wears evenly. Easton backs the Ghost Unlimited Wild Era with a one year warranty from the date of purchase covering defects. Cold-weather damage, cage-ball damage, and alterations typically aren’t covered. As always, contact us with questions!
