TL;DR The 2027 Atlas Hybrid in Slugger's Neon Night look: EVOKE alloy barrel, composite handle and ARX1 connection, balanced swing. Black with neon graffiti and glow-in-the-dark green. BBCOR -3, 2-5/8 in. 31-34 in, half sizes too. Add our ProMAX Heat Roll for maximum performance.

The Atlas Hybrid just got a glow-up, and we mean that literally! The 2027 Louisville Slugger Atlas Hybrid Neon Night, model WBL2701701, is the same two-piece BBCOR baseball bat as the 2027 Atlas Hybrid. It pairs an EVOKE alloy barrel with a composite handle through the ARX1 Connection System and swings with a balanced weight. What sets this one apart is the Neon Night finish! The black barrel is covered in graffiti-style Atlas and Louisville lettering in neon green, pink, teal, and yellow, finished off with a hot pink knob. Leave it out in the sun, and the green graphics glow in the dark. It’s built for high school and college hitters who want a hot alloy barrel, a composite handle’s comfort, and a bat nobody will mistake for anyone else’s. Prefer a classic look? The standard 2027 Atlas Hybrid has the same build. Want a one-piece alloy instead? Take a look at the Louisville Slugger Atlas 2.0.

Under the paint, this is a serious BBCOR bat. Slugger’s EVOKE alloy barrel is tuned to deliver strong exit velocities wherever you make contact, not just in one spot. The ARX1 Connection System joins that barrel to a premium composite handle with a lighter, stiffer connection than a traditional two-piece. That lets Slugger build a larger barrel profile and gives you a more responsive feel at contact. The XPND Performance End Cap stretches the sweet spot toward the end of the barrel, improving performance and feel out near the tip. The Pro Design Knob Taper adds comfort and leverage for your bottom hand, and the LS Pro Comfort Grip gives you tack and cushion. A balanced swing weight keeps the bat quick through the zone. The barrel is 2-5/8 inches with a -3 drop, and the bat is BBCOR certified for high school and college play. It comes in 31, 32, 32.5, 33, 33.5, and 34 inch lengths, from 28 to 31 ounces, and Louisville Slugger backs it with a one year warranty.

QUESTION: Is the Neon Night different from the regular 2027 Atlas Hybrid?
ANSWER: Only in how it looks. Louisville Slugger built the Neon Night on the same 2027 Atlas Hybrid platform: the EVOKE alloy barrel, the ARX1 connection, the composite handle, the balanced swing weight, and the same six sizes from 31 to 34 inches. The difference is the finish. The standard Atlas Hybrid wears Slugger’s regular 2027 design. The Neon Night swaps it for a black barrel splashed with neon graffiti and green graphics that glow in the dark. If you want the Atlas Hybrid and like to stand out, this is the one to get. If you’d rather keep it classic, the standard version swings exactly the same.

QUESTION: Does the Neon Night actually glow in the dark?
ANSWER: Yes! Louisville Slugger says to let the Neon Night soak up the sun, and the green in the design comes to life in the dark. Like most glow-in-the-dark finishes, it charges from light, so the glow is brightest right after the bat has been out in the sun and fades from there. It’s a look, not a performance feature, so it won’t change how the bat swings. It will make your bat easy to spot in a dark dugout or a crowded bat bag, and it’s sure to get some attention.

QUESTION: What do the XPND end cap and Pro Design knob taper do?
ANSWER: They work at opposite ends of the bat. The XPND Performance End Cap expands the barrel’s sweet spot, improving performance and feel farther out toward the end of the barrel, which helps on pitches you catch a little off the end. The Pro Design Knob Taper is a tapered build at the base of the handle. Slugger designed it for comfort, control, and feel, with more leverage for your bottom hand through the swing. Add the LS Pro Comfort Grip for tack and cushion, and the bat feels secure in your hands from the first pitch to the last.

QUESTION: Why does the Atlas Hybrid come in 32.5 and 33.5 inch sizes?
ANSWER: Those half-inch sizes help you dial in your fit. Every Atlas Hybrid is a -3, so each extra half inch of length adds half an ounce of weight. A 32.5 inch bat weighs 29.5 ounces, right between the 32 and the 33. If a 32 feels a little short but a 33 feels a little heavy, the half size might be exactly right. That’s especially handy for growing high school players who are caught between sizes. Not sure which length fits? Send us your height, weight, and current bat, and we’ll help you choose!
