TL;DR One-piece composite -10, the middle drop in the F27 CRBN1 lineup, for 12U through high school hitters who want a stiff, connected feel and a quick swing. X-Zone barrel, enhanced AntiShock taper, balanced. 30-34 in. USA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, WBSC approved. Add our ProMAX Heat Roll for maximum performance.

Some fastpitch hitters want a bat that feels like an extension of their hands, not a piece of equipment with a hinge in the middle. Mizuno built the CRBN1 for them, and the 2027 F27 CRBN1 -10 is the newest version of a one-piece composite that has earned a loyal following among hitters who like a stiffer, more connected swing. For 2027 it comes in Mizuno’s White-Pink Tetra colorway: a light barrel with pink-to-orange graphics, a matching grip, and purple accents, which looks a lot friendlier than the bat plays. The -10 is the middle drop in the F27 lineup, one ounce heavier than the -11 drop and one ounce lighter than the -9 drop at the same length, which makes it the right bat for the 12U through high school hitter who has outgrown a lighter swing but wants to keep her bat speed.

The barrel is where Mizuno earns the CRBN name! X-Zone Technology adjusts the composite angles in ten specific zones across the barrel, so the hitting surface isn’t one uniform wall but a series of engineered sections tuned to flex and respond from the taper to the end cap. The result is a massive sweet spot and consistent performance when contact drifts off center. Mizuno pairs it with a Double Wall design for a larger hitting area with more power and forgiveness, Cylinder Seaming for consistent performance and durability around the full circumference of the barrel, and Black Onyx Carbon, Mizuno’s composite built for durability over a long season. The piece that makes a one-piece CRBN1 comfortable is Mizuno’s enhanced AntiShock construction in the taper, engineered to reduce the vibration that reaches the hands on a mishit and deliver a smoother feel at contact, and the Optimized End Cap adds pop at the end of the barrel while producing the booming sound CRBN1 hitters love. A Speed-Helix Grip finishes the handle with comfort and durability. Full 2-1/4 inch barrel, approved for USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and WBSC play, and backed by Mizuno’s one year warranty.

A one-piece fastpitch bat is a specific choice, and choosing the right drop in the F27 lineup is a second decision on top of it. That’s what LongballBats.com is here for! We’ve been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016, our staff offers players, parents and coaches more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience, and we carry the full Mizuno CRBN lineup. This means we can tell you honestly whether the stiffer, more direct CRBN1 fits your player’s swing, whether the two-piece CRBN Pro is the better match, and whether she belongs in the -10 or should look at the -11 or -9. Tell us her age, size, current bat, and what kind of hitter she is, and we’ll get her into the right Mizuno the first time. Right bat, right drop, right length.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!

QUESTION: Should my player swing the F27 CRBN1 -10, the -11, or the -9?
ANSWER: All three are built identically, so the choice is purely about weight. At the same length, the -11 drop is the lightest, the -10 is one ounce heavier, and the -9 is one ounce heavier still. The -11 comes in 28 through 31 inches and suits a younger or lighter hitter who needs a shorter bat and a quick swing. The -10 runs 30 through 34 inches and is the right call for most 12U through high school hitters who already swing a -10 comfortably. The -9 drop is for the stronger, more experienced hitter who can carry extra weight without losing timing. A good test: if she can repeat her swing with the heavier drop through a full practice, not just a few hard cuts, she’s ready for it. If her timing goes late, stay lighter.

QUESTION: What is X-Zone Technology?
ANSWER: It’s how Mizuno builds the CRBN1’s sweet spot. Rather than laying up the barrel as one uniform composite wall, Mizuno divides it into ten zones and adjusts the angle of the carbon fibers in each one, tuning how every section of the barrel flexes and springs back at contact. That lets the sweet spot run much further toward the taper and the end cap than it would on a conventional composite barrel, which is why a CRBN1 rewards contact that isn’t perfectly centered. Paired with the Double Wall construction and the Optimized End Cap, it’s the reason a one-piece bat can produce a hitting surface this forgiving.

QUESTION: What’s the difference between the CRBN1 and the CRBN Pro?
ANSWER: Construction and feel. The CRBN1 is Mizuno’s one-piece composite, with a stiffer, more connected feel, direct feedback at contact, and the AntiShock taper doing the work of keeping mishits comfortable. The CRBN Pro is Mizuno’s flagship two-piece composite, with a separate carbon handle, a softer feel on off-center contact, and a higher price. Both share the CRBN barrel philosophy and the full set of fastpitch approvals, and both come in -9, -10, and -11 drops for 2027. Hitters who want feedback, a quick swing, and a one-piece feel pick the CRBN1. Hitters who want the smoothest feel in the hands pick the Pro. We carry both and are happy to help you choose!
