TL;DR The 2027 Suncoast Long Haul Bombers Megaload2 is a 12" two-piece SSUSA senior bat with Suncoast's Mega-Power end load, Max Speed Handle and Stick and Spin barrel, signed by Jeff Hall. 34" in 25.5, 26.5 and 27.5 oz. Add our ProMAX Heat Roll for maximum performance.

The 2027 Suncoast Long Haul Bombers Megaload2 is Suncoast’s Melee Megaload 2 in Long Haul Bombers colors, with Jeff Hall’s signature on the barrel! Under the graphics, it’s a two-piece senior bat with a 12-inch barrel and Suncoast’s Mega-Power end load, made for hitters who want as much mass behind the ball as they can swing. The look is loud (in the best way!) A sky blue barrel carries the red, white and black Long Haul Bombers logo with its "Stadium Power" banner, MEGALOAD in big red-outlined letters and red Suncoast S logos, all sitting on a black handle. If you like the build but want a different look or setup, there’s the standard Melee Megaload 2 12-inch with JD Genter’s signature, the 13-inch Megaload 2 two-piece, and the one-piece Melee 4 Megaload 2.

Suncoast builds the barrel with its Ultimate Fiber Compression (UFC) Technology for durability and consistent performance hit after hit. The composite is OPTI-DURA, which pairs aerospace-grade carbon fiber with Suncoast’s proprietary manufacturing process. The Max Speed Handle is thinner than a standard handle. That smaller diameter helps the barrel whip through the zone, so all that end weight stays under control instead of dragging. The barrel also has Stick and Spin, a tackified surface that grips the ball on a cut swing and adds spin for a higher flight and more distance. The Megaload2 is approved for SSUSA, ISA and SPA play. It’s a senior bat, so it isn’t approved for USSSA or USA Softball (ASA) adult play. It comes in 34 inches at 25.5, 26.5 and 27.5 ounces, and like the rest of the Megaload 2 line, it carries no warranty.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER:
If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, improves consistency, increases durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!

QUESTION: What makes the Long Haul Bombers edition different from the regular Megaload 2?
ANSWER: The build is the same. Suncoast lists both as 12-inch, two-piece Megaload 2 bats with the Mega-Power end load, Max Speed Handle, Stick and Spin barrel, UFC and OPTI-DURA, in 25.5, 26.5 and 27.5 ounces. What changes is the look and the signature. The regular Megaload 2 carries JD Genter’s name, while this one wears the Long Haul Bombers "Stadium Power" graphics with Jeff Hall’s. Long Haul Bombers is a name slowpitch fans know from home run exhibitions, including shows at major league ballparks, so it fits a bat built to hit the ball a long way.

QUESTION: Why does a heavy end-loaded bat have a thinner Max Speed Handle?
ANSWER: It keeps the bat quick. The Mega-Power end load puts a lot of mass in the barrel, and a heavy barrel can drag if the handle fights you. Suncoast gives the Max Speed Handle a smaller diameter to maximize barrel whip while keeping control. On a two-piece frame, that thinner handle lets the barrel lag and then snap through the zone, so it doesn’t feel like you’re pushing a sledgehammer. Hitters with smaller hands, or anyone who holds the bat in the fingers, usually like it right away.

QUESTION: Should I get the two-piece Megaload 2 or the one-piece Melee 4 Megaload 2?
ANSWER: Both are 12-inch Megaload 2 bats with the same technology list, so it comes down to frame and weights. The Long Haul Bombers bat is a two-piece, which gives you more flex, more whip and a softer feel on contact. The Melee 4 Megaload 2 is a one-piece. It feels stiffer and more direct, and you’ll feel a mishit more in your hands. This one comes in 25.5, 26.5 and 27.5 ounces, while the one-piece runs from 25 through 28. If you like feeling the barrel load and release, go two-piece. If you want a solid, connected swing, go one-piece. Not sure? Call or email us; we'll help!

QUESTION: What do OPTI-DURA and UFC actually do?
ANSWER: They’re two parts of how Suncoast builds the bat. OPTI-DURA is the composite itself: aerospace-grade carbon fiber put together with Suncoast’s own manufacturing process, aimed at performance and durability. UFC is Suncoast’s barrel technology, built for durability and consistent performance on every hit. Put simply, Suncoast is going for a barrel that stays hot and consistent through a long season of senior tournaments. Since the Megaload 2 has no warranty, that durability matters more than usual.
