Most league bats look like league bats. This one doesn’t! The 2026 Anarchy Dia De Los Muertos USA/ASA, model ASPDIA26A, brings Anarchy’s Day of the Dead artwork to the rec and league side of slowpitch. It’s the USA Softball version of the bat, built for the Tuesday night league, the church league, and every tournament that follows the USA Softball list. The look is the same as its USSSA twin. A black barrel carries “Día de Muertos” in bright orange script, framed by sky blue splashes and pink pattern lines. A ring of white sugar skulls wraps the taper, and the handle is black with Anarchy logos. Underneath, it’s a two-piece composite with a 13 inch barrel and a half ounce end load. The difference is the barrel itself. This version uses Anarchy’s X-Core 2 technology, built for the USA Softball standard. If you also play USSSA tournaments, the Anarchy Dia De Los Muertos USSSA is the matching bat for that bag.
USA Softball sets a tighter performance limit than USSSA. That means a USA bat has to find its edge in other places, and this one does it in three. First is barrel length. At 13 inches, it gives you a long, forgiving hitting surface, so a ball you catch a little off the end still has a chance. Second is the end load. A half ounce of extra weight toward the end of the barrel adds momentum through the zone and more force at contact. It’s enough to feel, but not enough to slow you down. Third is the two-piece build. The barrel and handle work on their own at contact, which gives the swing a smooth, whippy feel and keeps a jam shot from stinging your hands. Anarchy’s X-Core 2 barrel ties it together. It’s a composite barrel designed for USA Softball play with a responsive feel at contact. The barrel is 2-1/4 inches. It’s certified for USA Softball (ASA) play, and it is not approved for USSSA. Available in 34 inch lengths at 25, 26, and 27 ounces, with Anarchy’s one year manufacturer warranty.

QUESTION: What is X-Core 2, and why does the USA version use it?
ANSWER: X-Core 2 is the barrel technology Anarchy uses on its USA Softball bats. It exists because USA Softball and USSSA test bats differently, and USA’s performance limit is lower. A barrel built to USSSA’s limit would fail USA testing. So Anarchy builds a separate barrel for USA bats, tuned to perform right up to the USA line while staying legal. Anarchy doesn’t publish a detailed breakdown of what’s inside X-Core 2. What matters for you is simple. It’s the barrel that makes this bat legal in your USA league, and it’s designed to feel lively at contact rather than dead. On the USSSA version of the Dia De Los Muertos, Anarchy uses its KCM-6X barrel instead. Same paint, different engine.
QUESTION: Will a USA bat hit as hot as my USSSA bat?
ANSWER: No, and it isn’t supposed to. USA Softball sets a lower performance limit than USSSA, so every USA bat, from every brand, comes off the barrel a bit softer than a USSSA bat. That’s the rule, not a flaw in the bat. What you can control is how much of the legal limit you actually use. That’s where this bat’s design helps. The 13 inch barrel gives you more chances to square it up. The half ounce end load puts more mass behind the ball. And the two-piece build keeps your swing smooth, so you can swing hard all night without your hands paying for it. If you’re coming from a USSSA bat, expect the ball to come off a little differently. Then give it a few rounds. Most hitters adjust quickly. Of course, opt for our ProMAX Heat Roll with Progressive Pressure to maximize performance!
QUESTION: Will this bat pass a bat check in my rec or church league?
ANSWER: If your league follows USA Softball rules, yes. Look for the USA Softball certification mark on the taper. That’s what an umpire checks. Most rec, church, and city leagues in the country play under USA Softball rules, which is why this is the version most league players need. It will not pass in a USSSA tournament, because it isn’t USSSA stamped. Some leagues follow NSA or ISA rules instead, so ask your league director which list they use before you buy. And check that list each season, since leagues update them. If you’re not sure which stamp your league wants, give us a call. We sort out stamps every day!
QUESTION: Should I swing a 13 inch or a 12 inch barrel in USA ball?
ANSWER: It depends on whether you want forgiveness or quickness. A 13 inch barrel, like the Dia De Los Muertos, gives you the biggest hitting surface. Pair that with a half ounce end load and you get a bat that’s forgiving and carries well, though it swings a touch heavier because more weight sits farther from your hands. A 12 inch barrel, like the Anarchy Don’t Blink USA, keeps the mass tighter and closer to your hands. It whips through the zone faster, but leaves less room for error. Most league hitters do better with the 13 inch. It covers more mistakes, and in USA ball, where the limit is tighter, making solid contact more often matters a lot. If you’re a precise hitter who barrels it up consistently, the 12 inch can give you a quicker swing.
