The 2026 Easton Marsh USSSA is the hotter half of the Tyler Marshburn Signature Series, built for the sanction where the performance ceiling is highest and the bats are allowed to show it. Marshburn is one of the most feared power hitters in slowpitch, and this is the bat he puts his name on for USSSA, ISA, and NSA play. The headline choice here is the 12-inch barrel. That is compact by modern slowpitch standards, and it is a deliberate call, not a compromise. A shorter barrel concentrates the composite mass into a smaller hitting area, which typically produces a denser, hotter sweet spot and a bat that gets through the zone quicker. The tradeoff is less forgiveness on contact away from the center, which tells you exactly who this bat is for: hitters who barrel the ball consistently and want maximum output when they do.

The barrel runs Easton's 232 Flex+ technology, a plural resin system built into a five-flex barrel design that allows variable compression across the hitting surface. Strip away the engineering language and the concept is simple. Different zones of the barrel are tuned to compress at different rates, so the barrel gives and rebounds efficiently against game balls. Behind the barrel, the two-piece frame pairs a Flex 180 handle with the CXN MC+ connection. The Flex 180 is a whippier handle than the Flex 140 found in the USA version of this bat, and that matters. More handle flex means more lag as you start the swing and a harder snap as the barrel releases through the zone, which is where a compact 12-inch barrel picks up the bat speed that turns into distance. The connection piece keeps that whip from costing you anything in feel, filtering out the vibration that stiff bats send into your hands on mishits.

The swing weight is a .5 ounce load, which adds meaningful mass behind the barrel without dragging your hands. Combined with the short barrel and whip-oriented handle, the overall package swings lighter and faster than the spec sheet suggests, and that is the point. This is a bat built for aggressive, quick cuts rather than a slow heave, and the .5 ounce load rewards hitters who accelerate through contact. The Power Boost Soft Knob finishes the build, cushioning the bottom hand and giving you a flared leverage point to pull against on the finish. The Marsh USSSA comes in 25, 26, and 27 ounce weights in a black and teal colorway that sets it apart from the black and yellow USA model, and it carries Easton's one year warranty.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Professionally Broken In?
ANSWER: Brand new baseball and softball bats need to be broken in before they perform to their full potential. Our ProMAX Break-In Service adds 20-40ft of extra distance to your solid hits, improves the durability and longevity of the bat and increases the consistency of your results on solid hits, as well. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a professionally broken in bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process and if you're in a hurry, opt for our "Front of Line" service!

QUESTION: Why would I want a 12-inch barrel instead of a 13 or 13.5-inch barrel?
ANSWER: It comes down to how you make contact. A longer barrel spreads the composite over more surface area, which widens the forgiving zone but dilutes the sweet spot. A compact 12-inch barrel does the opposite: it packs the barrel mass into a smaller area, which generally produces a hotter center and a bat that feels quicker and more maneuverable through the zone. If you square the ball up consistently, the short barrel gives you more on your best swings. If you spray contact around the barrel and want help on your mishits, a longer-barreled bat is the safer buy. Marshburn built this one for hitters in the first camp.

QUESTION: What is the difference between this bat and the USA version of the Marsh?
ANSWER: They are different bats under the paint, not just different stamps. This USSSA model runs a 12-inch barrel with 232 Flex+ technology and the whippier Flex 180 handle, and it is built to the USSSA performance standard, which allows a hotter barrel. The USA model runs a longer 12.75-inch barrel with Cantilever technology and a stiffer Flex 140 handle, built to the tighter USA Softball standard. The stamps are not interchangeable: this bat is not legal in USA/ASA sanctioned play, and the USA version is not legal in USSSA. Buy the one that matches your league, and if you play both sanctions you genuinely need both bats.
