The Proton Series Four Unique Abilities USSSA Slowpitch Softball Bat features a 12.75-inch barrel and two-piece composite construction, providing a versatile combination of barrel control, feel, and responsiveness.
Built with Proton's new Series 4 Technology, the Unique Abilities model is designed around consistent barrel performance, durability, and a responsive two-piece feel through contact. The 12.75" barrel provides a compact hitting surface while maintaining enough barrel length for consistent coverage through the zone.
This Ty Heusner Signature Model is available in three different swing-weight configurations: Balanced, .5 oz Endload, and 1 oz Endload, allowing the same barrel platform to accommodate a wide range of swing preferences.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!
QUESTION: Which end load should I choose: balanced, half ounce, or full ounce?
ANSWER: Start with how you hit. Balanced puts no extra weight in the barrel and gives you the fastest, most controllable swing, which suits contact hitters, gap hitters, and anyone who values bat speed over mass. Half ounce adds a modest amount of end weight for more carry without changing the way the bat feels through the zone, and it is the most popular pick for hitters who want a little of both. Full ounce puts real mass behind the ball and is built for power hitters who already swing end-loaded bats and can keep their hands quick with the extra weight. If you're unsure, the half ounce is the safest middle ground. If the end load slows your swing down, go lighter. Bat speed still wins.
QUESTION: What is Proton's "Pass, Last and Gas" guarantee?
ANSWER: It is Proton's promise about the three things slowpitch hitters worry about most. Pass means the bat will pass the bat testing that USSSA, NSA, and ISA tournaments run at the gate, so you are not getting a bat that is illegal the day you buy it. Last means it is built to hold up over a season instead of going dead in a month. Gas means it hits. Proton backs all three with a 100 percent guarantee on top of its one year warranty, which is more than most manufacturers are willing to put in writing.
