Balanced puts no extra weight in the barrel and gives you the fastest, most controllable swing, which suits contact hitters, gap hitters, and anyone who values bat speed over mass. Half ounce adds a modest amount of end weight for more carry without changing the way the bat feels through the zone, and it is the most popular pick for hitters who want a little of both. Full ounce puts real mass behind the ball and is built for power hitters who already swing end-loaded bats and can keep their hands quick with the extra weight. If you're unsure, the half ounce is the safest middle ground. If the end load slows your swing down, go lighter. Bat speed still wins.

QUESTION: Is the Yee Yee legal in USA/ASA play?
ANSWER: No. The Series 4 Yee Yee is approved for USSSA, NSA, and ISA slowpitch, which are the three associations that share the same higher-performance bat standard. It is not certified for USA/ASA Softball, which uses a different, more restrictive standard, and it is not a senior bat. If you play USA/ASA, Proton builds a separate line of USA/ASA bats, including the 98.0, that are built to that certification.
