The Vandalized Black is the heavy hitter of the Vandalized family! The 2027 Victus Vandalized Black, model VSPVD21BU, is a one-piece composite USSSA bat with a compact 12.25 inch barrel, Victus’ V1.2 Barrel Technology, and the Big Boy Load, the heaviest swing weight in the Vandalized lineup. It’s built for explosive power hitters who can handle extra barrel momentum and want a stiff, connected feel on every swing. The graffiti theme takes a darker turn here. The bat is black from knob to cap, with neon green spray paint reading “Victus is HERE” down one side and a big green Victus logo on the other. A silver band near the end cap carries a white graffiti crown, white drips run down the barrel, and “Vandalized” is sprayed in green along the taper. If you want the same one-piece Vandalized feel with a lighter swing, the Vandalized Royal Blue pairs the Ya-Ya Load with a 12.75 inch barrel. Prefer a Big Boy Load in a two-piece? Take a look at the Victus NOX Big Boy.
Here’s how the pieces work together. The Big Boy Load moves a lot of weight toward the end cap, and that mass is what drives the ball when you square it up. Victus pairs it with a shorter 12.25 inch barrel, which keeps all that load from feeling long or sluggish through the zone. The V1.2 barrel uses a high-flex composite layup that gives at contact and springs back hard, so you get serious pop with a softer feel. Layered fiber sequencing stretches the sweet spot for more forgiveness when you’re a little off. Because it’s a one-piece, the handle and barrel are a single continuous piece of composite, and your energy goes straight into the ball without a connection in between. Victus’ Dynamic Handle Technology keeps the handle at a controlled, mid-stiff feel and takes some of the sting out of mishits. The barrel is 2-1/4 inches. It’s certified for USSSA, NSA, and ISA play, and it is not approved for USA Softball (ASA) or SSUSA senior play. Sizes are 34 inches at 25, 26, and 27 ounces, and Victus backs it with a one year warranty.
A one-piece Big Boy is one of the most aggressive setups in slowpitch, so it’s worth making sure it fits before you buy. LongballBats.com has been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016. Our friendly team offers slowpitch players more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience. We’ve had our hands on literally tens of thousands of bats, so we know what a heavy end load feels like by the last game of a long Sunday. We carry a deep Victus lineup, from the Vandalized series to the NOX, Beacon, and Uncle Lucky. That makes it easy to compare loads, barrel lengths, and builds side by side. When a Victus offering sells out, it sometimes resurfaces in our Rare Finds section. Questions? QUESTION: Should I get the Vandalized Black or the Vandalized Royal Blue?
ANSWER: Both are one-piece Vandalized bats with V1.2 barrels, so the feel at contact will be familiar. The difference is in how they swing. The Royal Blue carries the Ya-Ya Load, Victus’ slight end load, on a 12.75 inch barrel, and it’s built for experienced hitters who want power with plenty of control. The Black steps up to the Big Boy Load, Victus’ heaviest, and pairs it with a shorter 12.25 inch barrel. It swings noticeably heavier and puts more mass behind the ball, but it asks for real bat speed. If you’re on time with a Ya-Ya bat and want more behind the ball, the Black is the natural next step. If you’re stuck between the two, start with the Royal Blue.
QUESTION: What’s new compared with the earlier Vandalized Black?
ANSWER: The biggest change is under the paint. The earlier Vandalized Black used Victus’ CompStax 1 technology, and this one moves to the V1.2 barrel. Victus built V1.2 around a high-flex composite layup for more pop, a softer feel, and a bigger effective sweet spot. The core setup is still familiar: one-piece construction, a 12.25 inch barrel, the Big Boy Load, and Dynamic Handle Technology. The look changed too. The earlier version paired black with gold accents, and the new one swaps in neon green graffiti and a silver band at the end cap. If you loved the old Black, this one keeps the same idea with Victus’ newest barrel inside.
QUESTION: Is the Vandalized Black the same bat as the Beacon Neon Green?
ANSWER: Under the paint, they’re very close. Both are one-piece Victus USSSA bats with a 12.25 inch V1.2 barrel, the Big Boy Load, and Dynamic Handle Technology with a mid-stiff feel. Both come in 25, 26, and 27 ounces. The Beacon Neon Green is a Travis Clark limited edition with Victus’ Beacon artwork, while the Vandalized Black wears the black and neon green graffiti design. So the choice mostly comes down to which look you want to carry to the plate, and which one is available in your weight. If you can’t decide, call us! We’re always happy to help.
QUESTION: Should I size down with a Big Boy Load?
ANSWER: Most hitters should. A Big Boy Load makes the bat swing heavier than the number on the knob, so a 26 ounce Big Boy feels like more than a 26 ounce balanced or Ya-Ya bat. If you swing a 27 ounce Ya-Ya comfortably, the 26 ounce Vandalized Black will probably feel closer to what you’re used to. If you already swing a heavy end load and you’re still on time in the last game of the day, you can stay at your usual weight. The 25 is the smart pick for hitters trying a Big Boy for the first time. When in doubt, go lighter, because bat speed with a heavy load beats a heavier bat you can’t get around.
