Suncoast built four versions of the Ruckus Resurgence, and this is the one for the hitter who wants the whole barrel. The 13 inch End Load is the Ryan Honeycutt model, a two-piece composite with a full-length hitting surface, a half ounce Power Load end weight, and the same dual-stamp approval that makes the Ruckus Resurgence line so useful: USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, and ISA, all on one bat. That means the same bat goes from your USA rec league to your USSSA tournament without a swap, and the 13 inch barrel means you’ve got an extra inch of forgiveness for the nights when your timing isn’t perfect. The Ruckus is one of Suncoast’s signature designs, and the Resurgence brings it back with the brand’s newest composite and barrel technology, built the way a power hitter wants it.
The extra barrel length is the whole point of this version. A 13 inch barrel gives you a longer hitting surface and a bigger sweet spot than the 12 inch Ruckus Resurgence, so a ball caught a little off center still carries, and the half ounce Power Load toward the end gives a strong swing more momentum through the zone. Suncoast builds the barrel from OPTI-DURA Performance Composite, aerospace-grade carbon fiber laid up through the brand’s proprietary process for performance and durability hit after hit, and shapes it with UFC Barrel Technology to keep the barrel’s response consistent across a long season. Stick and Spin Barrel Technology adds a tackified surface that grips the ball for a split second longer on a cut swing, spinning it faster for a higher trajectory and more distance, which is exactly what a 13 inch end-loaded bat was built to do. Below the barrel, the Max Speed Handle uses a smaller handle diameter to keep the bat whippy and quick despite the extra length, and the two-piece connection takes the sting out of a mishit. Available in 34 inch lengths at 25, 26, 27, and 28 ounces, and backed by Suncoast’s one year warranty.
Two barrel lengths, four weights, and four certification stamps add up to a lot of ways to buy the wrong Ruckus Resurgence, and sorting that out is what LongballBats.com does. We’ve been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016, our staff proudly offers slowpitch players more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience, and we carry the full Suncoast slowpitch lineup. Tell us which leagues you play in, what you swing now, and how you hit, and we’ll tell you honestly whether this 13 inch Honeycutt model or another Ruckus Resurgence fits your swing, and which weight to put in your bag.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!
QUESTION: What’s the difference between the 13 inch and 12 inch Ruckus Resurgence?
ANSWER: Barrel length and weight options, and that’s it. Both are two-piece bats with the same half ounce Power Load, the same OPTI-DURA composite, UFC Barrel Technology, Stick and Spin surface, and Max Speed Handle, and both carry the same four stamps. The 13 inch Honeycutt model gives you a longer hitting surface and more forgiveness on off-center contact, and it comes in full-ounce weights from 25 to 28. The 12 inch concentrates its mass into a tighter zone for a slightly quicker swing and comes in half-ounce weights of 25.5, 26.5, and 27.5. If you want the bigger sweet spot, get the 13. If you want the quickest version of the end load, get the 12.
QUESTION: Can I use the Ruckus Resurgence 13 in both USA/ASA and USSSA leagues?
ANSWER: Yes. The SRRUE carries approval for USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, and ISA, so one bat covers your USA rec league and your USSSA tournament without switching. Most slowpitch bats are built to one standard or the other, so a true four-stamp bat is rare, and it’s a real advantage for anyone who plays in more than one league. As always, confirm the stamps against your league’s approved bat list before game day - and feel free to contact us with any questions!
QUESTION: Which weight should I swing in the Ruckus Resurgence 13?
ANSWER: Start with what you already swing well. If your current bat is a 26 and you hit it hard, a 26 ounce Ruckus Resurgence 13 will feel familiar, with the Power Load adding a touch more mass at the end than a balanced bat at the same weight. Hitters who get their power from bat speed should stay at 25 or 26, since the longer barrel and end load already add momentum. Stronger hitters who like to feel the barrel can move to 27 or 28. A good rule for any end-loaded bat: pick the weight you can swing at full speed in the last inning of your fourth game, not the heaviest one you can swing fresh.
