Every slowpitch lineup has one hitter who thinks a half ounce end load is a warm-up. Suncoast built this bat for him! The Ruckus Resurgence 12 inch Super-Load is the Josh Kirsten model, and it carries a full ounce of end weight on a compact 12 inch barrel, which makes it the heaviest-swinging bat in the four-bat Ruckus Resurgence series and the one with the most mass behind the ball at contact. It’s a two-piece composite, so that mass arrives with a responsive feel instead of a jarring one, and like every bat in the series it’s approved for USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, and ISA, so the same bat goes from your rec league to your tournament without a swap. In a gray and charcoal finish with orange collar graphics and the Resurgence name in high-visibility yellow, it looks exactly as serious as it swings.
A full ounce on a 12 inch barrel is a specific recipe. The short barrel concentrates the mass where the Super-Load puts it, so instead of a long, lazy end-loaded feel you get a compact hammer that moves through the zone with momentum and arrives with authority. Suncoast builds the barrel from OPTI-DURA Performance Composite, aerospace-grade carbon fiber laid up through the brand’s proprietary process for performance and durability hit after hit, and shapes it with UFC Barrel Technology to keep the barrel’s response consistent across a long season of hard contact. Stick and Spin Barrel Technology adds a tackified surface that grips the ball for a split second longer on a cut swing, spinning it faster for a higher trajectory and more carry, which is exactly what you want when there’s a full ounce driving the ball. Below the barrel, the Max Speed Handle’s smaller diameter helps the hitter whip a heavier barrel through the zone without giving up control, and the two-piece connection keeps a mishit from rattling the hands. Available in 34 inch lengths at 25, 26, 27, and 28 ounces, and backed by Suncoast’s one year warranty.
A Super-Load is the easiest bat in this series to buy for the wrong reasons. It looks like the power bat, and plenty of hitters who’d hit more line drives with the balanced or half ounce Ruckus Resurgence will reach for it anyway. That’s where LongballBats.com earns your business. We’ve been the Bat Performance Experts since 2016, our staff eagerly offers you more than 100 years of combined baseball and softball experience, and we carry the full Suncoast slowpitch lineup, including all four Ruckus Resurgence models. Tell us which leagues you play in, what you swing now, and how you hit, and we’ll tell you honestly whether the Kirsten Super-Load is your bat or whether one of its three siblings is, and which weight belongs in your bag.

QUESTION: Should I order this bat stock/untouched or Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure?
ANSWER: If you order your new bat Heat Rolled with Progressive Pressure, it will be delivered to you completely and evenly broken in. This process adds 20-40ft of distance to your solid hits, increases consistency, improves durability and adds 2-3 business days of lead time to your order. If you plan to use the bat in an official game or event, please verify the legality of our process with your league or sanctioning body before use. We (LongballBats.com) do not encourage the use of a Heat Rolled bat in any game or event where it is against the rules. Click here for details about our process!
QUESTION: What’s the difference between Super-Load and the End Load on the other Ruckus Resurgence bats?
ANSWER: Half an ounce, and it’s a bigger difference than it sounds. The 12 inch and 13 inch End Load models carry Suncoast’s Power Load, a half ounce of weight toward the end of the barrel. The Super-Load doubles that to a full ounce on the same 12 inch barrel. At the same listed weight, the Super-Load swings noticeably heavier, with more momentum through the zone and more mass behind the ball, and it asks for more bat speed to get it there on time. The construction, composite, Stick and Spin surface, handle, and four stamps are otherwise identical across the series. The load is the whole decision.
QUESTION: Who should swing a full ounce end load on a 12 inch barrel?
ANSWER: A strong, experienced hitter who already drives the ball consistently and wants more of it. The Super-Load rewards a player who squares the ball up and has the bat speed to carry an extra ounce without getting late, because the compact barrel doesn’t leave much margin for a swing that’s behind. If your current bat is a half ounce end load and you’re consistently getting the barrel there with room to spare, the Super-Load is the natural step up. If you’re still hunting for the barrel, or you get your power from bat speed rather than mass, the balanced or half ounce Ruckus Resurgence will serve you better. Most hitters who belong in a Super-Load already know it.
QUESTION: How does the Super-Load fit into the Ruckus Resurgence series?
ANSWER: It’s the power end of a four-bat lineup that covers the whole spectrum. The series includes a 13 inch half ounce End Load (the Ryan Honeycutt SRRUE), a 12 inch Balanced model (SRRUB12), a 12 inch half ounce End Load (SRRUE12), and this 12 inch full ounce Super-Load, the Josh Kirsten SRRUSL12. All four are two-piece bats with the same OPTI-DURA composite, UFC Barrel Technology, Stick and Spin surface, and Max Speed Handle, and all four are approved for USA Softball, USSSA, NSA, and ISA. Pick the barrel length and swing weight that fit your swing, and the stamps take care of the rest. We carry all four!
